The tech giant Apple has plans to bring the production if Mac Mini to US, Digitimes reports citing some sources.
The reports can be true or be not, as Apple’s CEO Tim Cook was looking to bring a chunk of the Mac manufacturing work to the US, the CEO states the plan in the recent interview, without specifying that which range of the Mac will be produced domestically.
“We’ve been working for years on doing more and more in the U.S. Next year, we will do one of our existing Mac lines in the United States,” said CEO Cook in an interview with NBC’s Brian Williams.
In addition, besides Mac Mini, Apple’s most used product in US is the iMac, Apple has already bearing up the marking for iMac to be “Assembled in USA”.
The report claims that, the shipping of the Mac Mini is expected to hit 1.4 million devices by the end of 2012 and rises 30% to 1.8 million by the end of 2013.
